Cut to Pieces Returns to CPT!
Cleveland Public Theatre will present Cut to Pieces June 2 - June 11 onstage in the James Levin Theatre.
Cut Pieces is a haunting tour-de-force solo show featuring Chris Seibert in an ambitious theatrical experience that begins as a classic "whodunit" and quickly takes a nose dive into the psyche of a fragmented individual. Blending live video, film and animation, Cut to Pieces is a poignant glimpse into one woman's journey towards wholeness as she reconstructs her shattered life after a violent rape.
Written by Raymond Bobgan and Chris Seibert and directed by Raymond Bobgan, Cut to Pieces is an original CPT production that premiered during the 2008 - 2009 season. In its initial run, Seibert and Bobgan were lauded by audiences and critics for "mesmerizing performance(s)" that attain "supernova intensity." Cut to Pieces will return to CPT for two weekends as it prepares to tour throughout 2011 - 2013.
"This version of Cut to Pieces includes significant rewrites and new video elements we believe will intrigue both new and returning audiences," says CPT Executive Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan. "The production is being redeveloped for future touring and we wanted the opportunity to share its most recent incarnation with Cleveland audiences first."
Cut to Pieces was developed with Ohio Arts Council Arts Innovation grants and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Please note this production contains graphic images of violence and is suggested for mature audiences only.
Tickets for this production are prices $10-$25. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
