CPT partners with the Cleveland Public Library to present special event for The Aperture

Join Cleveland Public Theatre and Cleveland Public Library for a special event, in conjunction with CPT's presentation of The Aperture, featuring Craig J. George, the play's director; Sean Christopher Lewis, the playwright and actors from the company performing excerpts along with other special guests.

Saturday, March 7th, 2:00pm, at Cleveland Public Library, Literature Department on the 2nd floor of the Main Library, located at 325 Superior Avenue.

Cleveland Public Theatre is proud to present the World Premiere of The Aperture, a new play by Sean Christopher Lewis and the inaugural winner of the Rosa Parks Playwright Award. The Aperture takes audiences on a wild journey that explores America's fetishizing of global turbulence, violence and race. The Aperture is the story of a seductive American photographer and her unlikely subject, a former boy soldier from Africa. In this world premiere production, two actors play six parts in an energetic and insightful expose.

Directed by Craig J. George, who wowed critics and audiences with CPT's acclaimed production of M4M, an all-male version of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure.

The Aperture is onstage in the James Levin Theatre from March 13 through March 28 (Paid preview March 13, Opening Night March 14).
