Out of One Glass
Written by Margaret Lynch
Directed by Caroline Jackson Smith
Featuring: Brian McNally, John Busser, Molly McGinnis, and others still to join

Out of One Glass follows the fortunes of three Irish immigrant brothers who become embroiled in a web of collusion and betrayal between labor unions, the police department, and racketeers as they try to make their way in Cleveland ca. 1928. IRA activity in Liverpool in 1920, speakeasies, the building of the Terminal Tower, and memories of a simpler time on a remote island off the coast of western Ireland all provide a backdrop. The reading is directed by Caroline Jackson Smith, Associate Professor in the Theater and African American Studies Departments at Oberlin College.

Margaret Lynch received an OAC Individual Artist Fellowship in 2005 and belongs to the Playwrights Unit of the Cleveland Play House. Her plays have been presented by Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama Theatre, Great Lakes Theater Festival, The Cleveland Play House, Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre. Stagedoor Manor, Pathway Productions, and 78th Street Studios. From 1984-2002, she served as dramaturg for GLTF and has since done free-lance arts education consulting, currently with Tri-C's Creative Arts Division. She co-founded the Cleveland Theater Collective.

Little Box, a series of staged readings of new work in development, is a part of CPT's commitment to local playwrights and producers. Now in its fourth year, Little Box is modeled after CPT's successful Big [BOX] Series but on a smaller scale, designed to foster works at an earlier stage of development.

Please note that tickets for Little Box are $10 General Admission and there is a $2 Discount for Students and Seniors.
