Description of Position
The Story Connector reports to the Executive Artistic Director and Director of Audience Engagement and Media Relations. This position is a year-round, part-time staff position that works an average of 25 hours a week, including occasional evenings and weekends. Pay $250/week.
The Story Connector is responsible for supporting CPT audience engagement activities and initiatives across a range of media types. CPT is seeking kick-ass writers and social media mavens with strong organizational skills and a passion for theatre.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills, love of grammar, adaptability, professionalism, grace-under-pressure, imagination, willingness to embrace and incorporate feedback and fluency in MS Word, Excel, basic HTML, and various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) required. Fluency with database management and photo/graphic editing software a plus. Experience in theatre is a must, with a minimum of 1 year of full-time work in professional theatre or related creative professions, 3 years of consistent freelance work or equivalent.
