Choose What You Pay

In the spirit of radical hospitality, all tickets are Choose What You Pay. We believe theatre is essential. Ticket prices only cover one-fifth of the cost of a production (and if patrons paid for the value of the ticket… pricing would no longer represent what we also believe to be true: theatre must be economically accessible). We have listed a suggested ticket price – you may want to pay more, you may want to pay less! YOU are more important to us than the ticket price. You are an essential part of the CPT experience. Purchase tickets by phone at 216.631.2727 ext. 501 and online at cptonline.org (with no added fees!).

On performance nights, our Box Office opens at 6:00pm (2:00pm for Sunday matinees) and stays open until 15 minutes after our latest show starts. Performance nights are typically Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday, but vary depending on show.

Ticket Exchanges

If you are not feeling well and are unable to attend, please contact our Box Office at 216.631.2727 x501 to exchange your tickets to another performance/show.

INCLEMENT WEATHER/CANCELLATIONS

In the unlikely event of a cancelation, we will do our best to contact you and arrange for a ticket exchange to a different performance.

GENERAL ADMISSION SEATING

Nearly all of our performances are General Admission: first come, first seated. Lobbies generally open 45 minutes prior to curtain time, while seating generally begins at 30 minutes to curtain.

LATE SEATING

Due to our unorthodox use of performance spaces, some shows feature limited or no late seating. All late seating is done at the discretion of CPT Staff.

PLAYWRIGHTS WELCOME

The Playwrights Welcome program provides free access to theatre for Dramatists Guild of America Members. Developed by Samuel French along with Dramatists Play Service, Dramatic Publishing, Music Theatre International, Playscripts, and Rodgers and Hammerstein, the goal of Playwrights Welcome is simple: to provide free access to theatre for playwrights, composers, and lyricists, and librettists. For more information, click here.

DRESS FOR ADVENTURE

Some patrons come dressed for a night on the town, some come in a t-shirt and jeans. The most important thing is that everyone has a great time at the theatre. Please note that CPT does not tolerate racist images, logos, etc.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Want to give the gift of theatre to a friend or family member? Cleveland Public Theatre offers prepaid gift vouchers. Gift vouchers can be purchased over the phone during Box Office hours or at the Box Office on show nights. To redeem your gift voucher, call the CPT Box Office at 216.631.2727 x501, use in person at the CPT Box Office, or redeem online during checkout. All gift vouchers will be valid for five years after purchase.

ACCESSIBILITY

Cleveland Public Theatre continues our facilities renovation with the goal of making our campus as accessible as possible. The Gordon Square Theatre and James Levin Theatre* are fully accessible, featuring a patron elevator and an all gender, ADA compliant restroom in each space. Due to the historic nature of the Church and Parish Hall buildings, these venues are not currently accessible. We are always happy to meet your accessibility requests to the best of our ability. You can make accessibility requests by calling the Box Office and online when purchasing a ticket.

*Please note that the elevator is not in operation during late seating due to sound bleed.
