Raymond Bobgan and Cleveland area artists travel to Turkey

The trip was arranged by The Council of International Programs USA (CIPUSA), a non-profit international exchange program, and the Turkish Arts for Peace Program. The goal of the trip was to use CPT’s STEP program as a model for developing a youth arts program to marginalized youth in Turkey.

In addition to Raymond Bobgan, other attendees included Kathleen Cerveny, program director for arts and culture at The Cleveland Foundation; Marsha Dobryzynski, executive director of the Cleveland chapter of Young Audiences; Tony Sias, Director of Arts Education for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, local theatre artist and educator and Director of CPT’s In the Continuum; Ismail Douglas, a Capoeira dance expert and coordinator of Cleveland schools’ Motivation Through Excellence program, and Lisa Purdy of CIPUSA.

Senator Sherrod Brown visits CPT!

Cleveland Public Theatre was proud to host a roundtable discussion facilitated by Senator Sherrod Brown in the James Levin Theatre. Senator Brown met with the leaders of the Gordon Square Arts District for an informative discussion and tour of the Capitol Movie Theatre before heading to CPT.

Senator Brown facilitated a lively discussion focused on areas of interest for local arts leaders. Patricipants discussed the impact of collaboration among organizations and the importance of seeking alternate funding sources for the arts. Read More ›
