We're hiring! Be a part of our exceptional Front of House team, the folks who make CPT a place patrons love returning to again and again. FOH staff will have the opportunity to work in two roles: Bar Manager and Box Office Associate. Prior experience is preferred but not required. CPT provides comprehensive training for both roles!These are part-time, seasonal positions from January to May, with options to renew employment next season based on performance. Hours depend on production schedules but typically involve Thursday-Saturday and Monday evenings for approximately 3-6 hours per night. Sunday afternoon and Wednesday evening shifts also occur on occasion. FOH staff also work special events outside of the general season (Pandemonium, Station Hope, event rentals, etc.).Pay is $15/hr. This summer, CPT’s Student Theatre Enrichment Program celebrated its 30th anniversary! STEP engages Cleveland youth in a powerful learning experience that develops job skills, academic achievement, and interpersonal skills. As part of this eight-week summer program, youth ages 14-19 collaborate to create, produce, perform, and tour their own play. Simply put, STEP pays young artists to make theatre. Since its beginning in 1994, STEP has received awards and recognitions from the City of Cleveland, The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Arts.To celebrate 30 years of STEP, Black Valve produced a short documentary. This play from Cleveland's own Jeanne Madison introduces us to the Hopegoodes, an affluent African American family who see their plans for the perfect debutante ball collide with a Black Lives Matter protest.
