Week #5: February 12 -14

Extra! Extra!

Presented by FiveOne, Carly Dorman and Sara Lawrence-Sucato

Coming together again in an original collaboration, FiveOne, Carly Dorman, and Sara Lawrence-Sucato deliver the news. From the front page to the back of your mind, this performance promises a dynamic and physical journey through our daily newspaper.

Extra! Extra! is a unique, multi-faceted view of the long enduring daily newspaper. Each piece of original dance is set to specially composed music to highlight a particular section of the typical daily paper, with as many impressions, characteristics, and as much emotional connection and relevant meaning as a tangible, musical portrayal can provide. From the downright silly diversions to the most solemn announcement, through the glorious triumph and dismal failure of your beloved sports team, to the price of used cars, we attempt to print your favorite story. Despite a life in black and white, this show may be the most colorful and thought- provoking look at something that may have never even crossed your mind.

Dancers and Choreographers Carly Dorman and Sara Lawrence-Sucato and FiveOne collaborated on the 2009 Big [BOX] presentation of BACKspace and CPT is proud to have them return to Big [BOX] withExtra! Extra!
