Cleveland Public Theatre in partnership with Elyria YWCA presents "A Closed Mouth Don't Get Fed", the first in a series of spoken word events on Wednesday, March 16, 7 p.m. at the Elyria YWCA, 318 West Avenue. This inspiring evening will feature original stories and poetry created and presented by the Cleveland Public Theater Women's Voices Project, a program for homeless women recovering from domestic violence, addictions and other adversities. Executed in conjunction with the Elyria YWCA's Women's Campus Project, the program is celebrating 12 years of providing women with tools for creative expression and supporting their transition to independent living.

Each performance will be followed by a talk-back with the women and reception. Later this spring the women will tour their work to area shelters, recovery centers and prisons.

A Closed Mouth Don’t Get Fed will feature performed work by Satedra Beasley, Charmaine M. Castaneda, Clancy, K. Kitchen, Nova, Brandy J. Logan, Melody R., Tiffany R., Pam S., and Prudence D. Wallace.
