Test Flight Part 2 – Week 3: Future Never Land

Future Never Land is a historical sci-fi rap opera paired with famous classical music compositions by Saint-Saens & Debussy. It follows the serendipitous journey of two ordinary citizens as they discover a secret society of Cleveland luminaries fighting against evil forces that plague the past, present and future.

The James Levin Theatre is ADA-compliant featuring a patron elevator and an all-gender, wheelchair-accessible restroom.

Josiah Britt is a lyricist, arts educator & social entrepreneur from Cleveland, Ohio, who prides himself on expression, innovation and community engagement. Through his 501(c)3 nonprofit CollectivExpress, he has facilitated and performed in hundreds of performance arts programs across greater Cleveland communities.

Jimmie Woody is a dynamic director, arts educator & visual artist from Cleveland, Ohio. TEST FLIGHT (Part 2)
A New Play Development Program
May 22–June 7, 2025 

Test Flight is a multi-week series that showcases new work on its way to full production. This popular event provides local and national artists with the keys to the theatre and opportunity to co-produce original works-in-progress. The series encourages risk-taking and entrepreneurial spirit towards creating.  

Recent successes include Showin’ Up Black by Jeanne Madison (Feb. 2025), Our Lady of Common Sorrows (Fall 2023), Alter by Tania Benites (Feb. 2024). Each of these were developed in Test Flight.
