Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is hiring a Production Associate (PA) for a seasonal full-time position. Position begins as early as June 1 (no later than June 30) and ends ideally September 22, 2023 (could be part time between September 11 and 22). Salary range is $650-750/week based on experience and range of skills. This role reports to the Associate Producer.
Production Associate Job Description
As a member of our production team, the PA stage manages and line produces the annual outdoor festival Arts in August in Tremont.
They will also be a key member in producing Pandemonium, CPT’s renowned fundraiser and “party-of the-year.” This work will range from artist communication, basic production work, décor and crafting, and a range of other tasks. Candidates must have stage management and production experience. The successful candidate will be collaborative, service-oriented, highly self-motivated, and eager to learn new ways of working. This position requires evening and weekend availability and an average of 50 hours per week. A valid driver’s license is also required, and regular access to a vehicle is strongly preferred.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Necessary Skills
- Basic stage management and stage/run crew skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and be a team player
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Optional but Beneficial Skills
- Working knowledge of VectorWorks, QLab, and other industry-standard programs
- Experience with basic sound systems is a plus
- Experience setting up portable stages and working on technical crews is a plus
- Sewing and other crafting skills
- Other tech theatre expertise (lighting, construction, etc.)
