Cleveland Public Theatre seeks a collaborative and detail-oriented person to fill a five-week position for the ninth annual STATION HOPE, a one-night event of entertainment and art inspired by the history of St. John’s Church and the Underground Railroad, on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
The Project assistants work includes:
- Arrange and conduct walkthroughs with artistic teams to orient them to the space and clarify the schedule, expectations, and protocols for the event.
- Collaborate with local organizations to coordinate Activate Hope. Activate Hope is a physical space in St. John’s church, that acts as a conduit to inspire patrons to get involved in their communities’ outreach and social and economic support organizations.
- Accurately track and document contact information for all involved, including artists and stage managers. This work requires knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Assist artists in pulling props or furniture as needed for their pieces, which may require lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Assist line producer in scheduling, conducting, and documenting various production related meetings with CPT staff, artists, technicians, designers, and stage managers
- Work closely with Line Producer to organize and oversee Dress and Tech rehearsals.
- Arrange working meals and other support for the full team
- Other duties as assigned to support line production of Station Hope.
The Project Assistant reports to the Co-Line Producer, India Nicole Burton. The Station Hope Project Assistant will be required to show proof of vaccination. Cleveland Public Theatre follows CDC COVID-19 Protocol and Restrictions.
The Project Assistant for Station Hope’s total salary is $1,625 with a rate of $325 per week for 5 weeks.
Estimated hours required for each week:
- Week 1 (April 25th – May 1st) 15 Hours
- Week 2 (May 2nd – May 8th) 15 Hours
- Week 3 ( May 9th – May 15th) 20 hours
- Week 4 ( May 17th – May 22nd) 30 hours
- Week 5 ( May 23rd – May 31st) 50 Hours
